Tip of Week - November 14, 2017 – Beware of Netflix Email Scam

Netflix customers beware! Scammers are sending emails that look like they are coming from Netflix and asking customers to update their payment information.  Customers are being informed of an erroneous billing error and asked to click on a link to submit information including debit or credit card numbers.

“Do not click on this email or any of its links,” said CSLEA Foundation Chairman Kenny Ehrman.  “If you have questions, contact Netflix directly.  As you will see on Netflix website, Netflix will never ask for your personal information to be sent by email.  Do not provide account numbers, pins, password information or social security numbers.”
